There are countless stories about how couples meet, fall in love, and live happily every after. We're going to skip that. We met at random (a lunch with some of Tyler's family - thanks Jess), but the more we learned about each other's lives, the more we felt that it was even more random we hadn't met before. Our relationship started shortly after we first met, and as we grew together, we grew in our faith. Something about our relationship was different; it was as if God had created one for the other. We each have strengths where the other does not, and help each other better ourselves.
The Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him'...and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Genesis 2:18
Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man.' For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Genesis 2:21-24
We completely believe that the Lord brought us together for a purpose, and that we are better serving Him together than apart. We are excited to start the first chapter in our new life together!
